Any comments on LG

My dealer quoted ~ $17K for a new LG with shuttle & loader today. I seem to remember local JD dealer quoting $18K for a 4310 hydro with loader last year. Definitely not a low price leader. He had several with cabs, loaders, 3-4 cyl, etc. LG truck pulled up with more while I was there. All had dark green & black paint scheme. No stickers/logo's on the hoods as Agracat is out of the loop on LG's. He said LG was mounting their own web pages soon. He had more tractors than sales info as of today.

A rear wheel fell of our JD A last Friday. Last time a wheel fell off was 30 years ago. Might use this as an excuse to get a open station 4X4 CUT.

OK, so here is what I have been told. JB Hunt took over the Agracat brand and is getting rid of the name as it has a bad connotation. All the tractors are now LG.

I know that LG has a Ag and Machinery division. They are a quality company that is huge. Apparently they own LG Phillips(electronics).

They manufacture some New Holland tractors. If LG is allowing their tractors to be sold under their brand then I am sure the backing will be good but someone said JB Hunt is backing out. Do you have any links so I can further research?

I have an LG cell phone and monitor and in my opinion they are the best available. If they produce a tractor the quality of their electronics then I am interested BUT, I want to make sure it is a backed product.

Some of the links I have found for your review. The price is about $6000.00 less than a comparable JD so that is a motivator but not the clincher.

What HP was that $17K tractor? Longs Farmtrac line also include many LG products, and they have a three year powertrain warranty, but not sure what HP you are looking at, I'd be interested in comparing the pricing.

Sorry I didn't get details other than shuttle reverser & loader. The buckets were about 5' wide & lift 1K+ lb. HP's he said was 30-38 on these little machines. They all seemed to have R4 tires. I looked under the hood of a hydro machine & it was a 3 cyl. The dealer knows I'm kicking around the idea of a skid steer.
