i've got an 04 dmax (lly)and i keep getting a check engine light and when it happens i pull a trouble code p2228 baro pressure sensor low voltage. it seems to happen when its hot outside. my truck is all stock. i was wondering what could be causing this to happen? i thought it may be a bad maf or possible egr valve. i just had some major work done on the fuel system, but they said they couldn't find anything w/ the p2228 code, and they didn't really want to give me any info about what could be the cause of it either. after sitting for awhile or overnite it will disappear, and may not get the check lite for awhile. any help would be great, thanks.

They have a recall on the fuel injectors. I got an extented warranty in the mail. Heard it was $2700.00.

If you have an LB7, the $2700 will be worth it.

The TSB on fuel injectors is for the 2001, 2002, and 2003 LB7.

Warranty for only fuel injectors has been extended to 7 years or 200k miles (again, for the above models).

I am not aware of a recall for the LLY injectors.

As I said, the injectors are an inherent problem on the 01 - 03 LB7. There is in fact a TSB issued for this problem.

special policy 04039 is for for lbz motors only.

the code is for a baro sensor concern, which could be related to a wire problem, bad sensor, egr concern if so equiped, programming issue, air filter, and possibly a turbo problem. if the truck is under 100k then the problem is warranty and will only cost the diesel deductable.

I see what you are saying about the LBZ. I was referring to the fact that there is a TSB on the LB7 injectors (which I thought he may be coRnfusing as an issue with injectors). I have had three sets in a 2002 model. I'll not see a fourth. It's gone as of last month.

I always enjoy your first-hand knowledge about the diesels. Thanks.
