Here we go. A couple of shots.

First, the closeup of the fine, highly engineered, precise apparatus. Note that for a Kubota L4330, the 1-1/2" conduit size fits perfectly (I was wrong about the 2-1/2" like I said before). I think the total cost at Lowes, excluding glue, was under $5.

Then the apparatus being readied for action.

Finally the full action shot. Note that when first starting to pour, it is easy to rest the can on the hood so one doesn't have to support the full weight.

Hope it works for you also!

- Jay

Thanks Jay. I like that you can use 2 hands with that set up. Using the Hand D pump would only allow one hand to hold that heavy 5 gal container. Do you screw it to the tank or container? Doesn't look like there's any spillage either.

When we've used the HanDPump, the can rests on the floorboard.

The "apparatus" doesn't actually attach to anything; the threads on the end slip down inside the tractor tank neck snugly. No spills!

Nice idea.. I'll have to think about it. For now I'm lucky I can rest the gas can on the FEL frame and walk away. 5-10 minutes later I have the 5gal can empty.

I bought this 55 gallon diamond plate tank at tractor supply along with the vented lockable cap, hand pump. Decided to make a pallet as a way to hoist it up and place in the pickup. The tank I chose had tabs welded on the bottom so I could screw it down to the pallet. I haul it to the diesel station, fill it, return it back to my Garage and use my tractor forks to set it back in place in the garage. I can get 6-8 months from a this tank. This is my easy way to fuel up my tractor. I got tired of wrestling those 5 gallon cans and the spillage associated with them. Looking back, I could of bought a painted carbon steel tank that would of been just as good but this one was on clearance. Word of warning to anyone buying an aluminum tank, use steel fittings with "never seize" on them. Alum to Alum can be very tricky and seize quickly.

I do the same as KubotaSam: lift 5 gallon container onto hood and place it on an old towel. Then insert a kerosene siphon bought at TSC. Squeeze it until full to get it going. When down to the last gallon or 2, I can pour it directly into the tank.

I transfer gasoline used in lawn mowers and generator into a 2 gallon container that has a nice plastic snout on it. I fill the lawnmowers and generator with the 2 gallon container.

I use a large funnel and 2.5gal. cans. Very manageable this way.

As for the the new fangled POS spouts.....I remove the spout and pour from the wide open mouth.;)
