Why buy from a 3rd party outfit when you can buy it from Fords direct. Listed on the back page of the owners manual, pertineint numbers, etc.
Once you buy the Fords warranty, you are in their national database so every dealer can access it plus they send you a hard copy of the warranty, which goes into effect the last day your factory warranty expires.
As complex cars are today, don't make any sense not to buy additional extended coverage.
I will say my Autel not only tells me the faied part but what it is (catalog number) as well. When my wife first got her Burb, it was throwing a check engine light. Turned out to be the rear mounted evap cannister and most likely from the previous owner topping of the fuel tank which causes the overage to flow into the cannister and a check engine light.
Something I always did but no more. When the nozzle klicks off now. I'm done filling to the top.
Never had all the grief before all the emissions hardware and computers. The Burb even tells you if the gas cap isn't tightened up sufficiently plus when it's time to replace the fuel cap as well.
