Thanks Doneill. Mine does have the hinged door, the bearings were all pregreased but the gearbox is empty. I read your write up and I have to say your 途ough area looked like ferns in the pic...which isn稚 too hard on a mower. I cut 2-4 foot tall field grass. I知 glad the bigger cut width works for you though. I also have a Vrismo 48 flail mower...I致e mowed 30 acres with it. Love that mower but bigger is better if you have a lot to do.

Yes the ferns are easy. Have had good success reclaiming some neglected fields. Will chew up small pine and scrub up to about an inch without problem.
