Correct. Any universal tractor hydraulic fluid meeting the spec is fine. Just be careful you get one that does meet the spec. I found two types of generic at the local auto store. Tractor Hydraulic fluid and Universal Tractor Hydraulic fluid. The difference?

One will ruin the brakes on my tractor and the other will not.

Make sure you get the right fluid, especially if your tractor has wet brakes like mine.

Like I said earlier.. I use the TSC 'traveler' brand universal transdraulic oil in my old ford NAA, and my 1997 NH 1920.

For a couple years I used fina's tractor transdraulic fluid... even in my yanmar. It met jd 303 and nh 134?(c) spec at the time.
