Any guess what this is?

Out for a walk last week out of state early one morning in a residential neighborhood, and noticed this in the corner of my eye...



Thing is, it didn't make a single sound, quiet as can be, even when it were near it (I kind of stood just watching it move and it worked it's way down to me, decent slope to boot).

As it got nearer, the logo was a dead giveaway...

Then, continuing walking up the hill, my curiosity got the best of me just wondering how much one of these puppies would cost (hey, it sure in heck is cool looking!).



Reality sat in I just though exactly how much that cost per what you actually get...

Then, about 20 mintues later walking back down the hill, I look over and it's stuck in a rut it created:laughing:



0800, no one home, at least a 2 grand remote mower stuck in a ditch just moving back and forth until someone gets home.

It's not something any Geek would contemplate buying.
I think they'd be better off with a $99 Murray 20" unit, paying an alcoholic to weave it around paid with cheap wine

Are you sure that the owners even knew that it was out? It may have been just a trial run, as all of the machines we've created plan the New World Revolution!

Not all of them are that expensive. IIRC the cheapest one is a little over a grand.

I personally wouldn’t buy one but I see the attraction for an aging homeowner who isn’t in the best health. You still get to decide how short to cut your lawn and enjoy the outdoors without any of the work.

Ya know, I just never thought that having to mow grass was a joy. I know that it should be mowed just for appearances sake, but I've always felt it was something that was a pain to do, requiring a pretty good expenditure for the equipment and with no other benefits other than the exercise and the look of a nicely mowed lawn. I've also got a lot of lawn to mow.

But after saying all that, I mow pretty much weekly unless rain or vacations interfere and the person who is the real boss here at home likes a neat yard.
