Perhaps your main jet has some particles in it,



Run a small wire up in the jet , or remove the jet and clean.

Finally got back to this. I ran it today with about a 2500 watt load for almost an hour. No missing or backfires so it looks a though the seafoam did the trick. Thanks to all for their input, this is why this website is my most respected and thanks to all who maintain and moderate this website for their great work as well.

Just an update to this old thread. The generator acted up intermittently for months/Year痴 after my last post. Bought a replacement carb and that seem to fix it for a while but the problem returned again stupid as I am I finally tried the simplest thing I should have tried first. Replace the plug, bingo instance fix. Hasn稚 acted up since last October. Plug must have been breaking down under load. Misled me for years that the plug would make it act up the way it did. Lesson learned!
