Any hummingbirds yet?

been feeding here in central Alabama for about three weeks or more.

AHA - had the first hummingbird buzz me this morning. Got right to work - cleaned, filled and set out my feeder. May not be used too much right at the moment - the service berries are in full bloom.

There are swarms of them here...having to refill the two feeders daily...!

Just before dark they seem to tolerate each other and share the feeders more so than during the day where they try to guard the feeders and run each other off...

If you have a post or something similar you can hang a feeder on and can stand very still...make an arm rest...they will land on your fingers to get to the nectar...

I had one fly into my shop a couple days ago flew in looked at me and turned around and flew back out I live just south of Lynchburg, VA I believe it was on Wednesday the 25 the of April. I put my feeder out but I haven't seen any more of them but I have been really busy but I will try to be more watchful in the next few days.

Ours have been back about 5 days. I put out 8 feeders when they are back in full force. Have to refill every other day. Love watching them.

Put feeders out this weekend and they, at least a couple, are here in Northern Middle Tennessee, just 15 miles south of the Kentucky border.

We are in Liberty, KY. We have three, the first of which showed this week. At our "old" place on the other side of our county, they showed up late last week. We had upward of 30 to 40 there after ten years of feeding. We just started here about 11 months ago so we are anxious to see what we end up with before they start to breed. Nothing like sitting on the porch and watching the evening "tank up".

2 male Rufus hummingbirds showed up at feeder location yesterday. Still snow scattered in the shady areas. It’s been a long winter but temp have changed for the better about a week ago. 25 C yesterday. Always great to see the birds back.

For the past 30 years they show up on an average of Apr. 15 th this year 1 showed up 5 days later then within a few days we had plenty .

Historically hummingbirds arrive around this time of year. I put 1 feeder out this AM. It appears that bird migration is a little later this year than the norm.
