I've been working on an old dairy barn. (See this thread: This Old Barn for details).
I came across two pieces of wood that seem to have been made for a purpose but I have no idea what.
On one side, each piece has a bunch of diagonal lines, about a quarter inch wide and a quarter inch deep, that form diamonds. Roughly in the center of each diamond is a hole. The holes are not the same size. One piece has bigger diamonds and bigger holes.
On the back side, the holes are all beveled, like they're countersunk.
Each piece is roughly 2 feet long, 2" thick and 10" wide.
Do I throw them away or take them to the historical society?
Any ideas?
Thanks.
