JJ, great idea on the racks. Looks like an NEF 12 Gauge single shot your haulin??

Thanks, the gun is a Browning 12ga. single shot. Took that pic to show my dad my true redneck side.:D I find myself constantly hanging ropes, bungees, jacket, etc. on them. Also makes for a nice armrest when blowing snow.

sometimes I drive the tractor about and hold the shovel or rake as I'm driving to the next pickup site (i.e. picking up yard debris). I have an L3540 and was toying around with a mount to be bolted onto the FEL attachment that could hold preferably two items such as a rake and a shovel. I don't like the pvc tube idea-doesn't do a pretty new tractor justice and the mount would need to have a high point and a low point to stabilze the garden tools to keep them from swinging while driving about.

I'm sure someone has done this before :) does anyone have pictures or additional ideas?

Chevy, This is how I carry my shovel, rake, prybar, edger, etc, etc.

Bob

I thought I saw a pic on the forum where someone had put their shovel or rake through the pipe between the arms of the loader and used a bungee cord to hold it in place?

Saw`these ratchet cable holders in THD today. 10 dollars, 4 zip ties and ten minutes later I have holders for a rake and shovel on the back of the Rops without drilling or screwing. Time will tell if it will hold up. I like the gun rack idea.

Tex- Does that 170 have velcrow on the bottom or do you stay on flat ground down there? I love having my tools in front where I can keep an eye on them though, just wish my plastic JD hood would support them......

I just carry several bungee cords and tie the shovel and rake to the loader arms.

Great ideas guys!! Any idea for attaching a set of limbers (loppers...24" handled yard clippers) to the ROPS?? I've been trying to figure something out for sometime and I just found this website. Great info share!!!

I too can slide my shovel into the tube that connects the arms of the loader. The tube is just large enough for it to fit and it actually wedges itself into the end of the tube so it wont rattle loose.

I thought of bolting a tool box to the fender but I was concerned that it would rattle and drive me crazy. Now that I've been it done I'll give it a try....maybe put some thick rubber washers between the metal fender and box.

The gun rack looks like a great idea.

Short length of PVC pipe fastened to the ROPS per worm drive clamps. ;)

I have a 3 pt Trailer hitch, and a hitch mounted storage rack. welded a tab on the storage rack to tote a garden cart for branches etc. I've been meaning to build a rack /box for the storage rack to tote chainsaws, pole saw, combi-attachments, mount some pvc for shovels & rakes, gas cans, and 5 gallon buckets with hand tools. Hand sprayer, and possibly mount the electric sprayer. thinking i'd use a furniture dolly to move it around the small shed. I'd like to find some cheap holders that the landscape guys use or find a cheaper alternative (but not so cheap I run over ones that fall off. I'm going to build a proto type when I get some plywood. I'll post some pictures of what I come up with.
