I used these on my blower controls and worked great. You can use a two wire trailer connector -- it will be weatherproof , easy to connect/disconnect and they are available in up to 10 guage wire (and they are cheap ) -- or you can use a lighter socket strategically placed and use it to power other things (like a coffee maker, hand held spot lamp or your iPod )

You can even us the male and female ends of an extension cord.
