I shipped a Billy Goat leaf vac from PA to MO for $100. Be warned, the managers at the store usually don't know about this program, but it is real. You have to get your item on a pallet.

I shipped a 250cc motorcycle from MA to MD using Allied Van lines. They have lift gates on their box trucks and skids to tie the loads down to for handling at their terminals. Don't remember the cost but it was cheaper than anything else I found.
