Price Check Any news/rumors on Kubota price increases?

Anyone hear anything official or otherwise on Kubota price increases for 2005?

I've had two dealers tell me they have no official word, but wouldn't be surprised to see it happen. Given the rise in steel prices, that would seem logical.

I've decided on what I want, but I really don't need it until early spring. Getting it before the end of the year would cause me some logistical problems, but if there's a big jump in prices planned I'd buy now and work around these problems.

Steel prices, dollar to yen, it would not surprise me to see a increase in price. Actually I was quite surprised when I ordered mine that Kubota did not have a steel surcharge like NH had.

Don't forget that if you are financing it Kubota has 0% for 2 years until the end of December.

The dollar/yen ratio is not likely to improve in the near term and it could play a part in price increases in the next few months.

Whilst visiting my local dealer last week, he read me a Kubota memo indicating that for 2005 all tractors will increase by around $300 and implement's by around 3%.

He also priced me one of those B7510's with the BX style floating deck & FEL for around $14,500. He said they expect delivery around March.

The local dealer showed me the letter last week from Kubota stating a 3.5% increase on anything ordered in 2005. He also had a similar one from New Holland. The attractive financing may go away but I doubt it. They still need to move units and 0% really helps.

My dealer just told me roughly 3.5% on all 2005 tractors. That's a substaintial increase in my book. He also said New Holland and JD are raising their prices about the same.

You guys may want to look at this thread which also talks about the price increases. It had several posts about the new pricing, including posts from one TBN member who is also a Kubota & New Holland dealer. Also posts by a Kubota salesman. Also posts by a Kubota & Case dealer (Case is a division of New Holland).

Yup...that's what got me to pull the trigger last week - $700+tax on a 3130. Add to that, there's no guarantee the 0% financing will come back - if not, I saved just under $2K on financing compared to regular rates, given that the implements were purchased under the 0% plan as well...

I pulled the trigger about eight weeks ago /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Very happy with my new 3830. I need to post some pics of her with the new 75" snowblower....What a beast.
