Did any one w/ a 2520 / 2320 put the Loader/mower Mech. Diverter valve kit in your tractor? Is it worth the $400:confused:

Reason I ask, is I was quoted from the same dealer $19,950 out the door for the 2520 w/ MMM, FEL-200cx and mower Diverter kit. He also quoted $21150 out the door for a 3120 w/ MMM, FEL 300x, 3rd SCV and telescoping draft links
Seems to me maybe I need to look at the 3120

I have been thinking of down sizing. My current orange tractor has been pounded on hard for almost 15 years with out issue. Can't tell you the hours on it because the hourmeter stopped at about 2500 hours. I want to get the B3030, but there is no leg room. My green garden tractor has more legroom. Because of comfort in the saddle, I have begun to lean towards blue.

The new B20920 is supposed to have a much roomier working area, but maybe the tractor is smaller than you are thinking about/

Leg room is what I want. Maybe I need to take another test drive.

A little bigger league but I have an L5030HSTC and a good friend has a JD 4310 or 4710, can't recall the numbers exactly.

They are in different leagues but the smallest of the Kubota 30 series should be comparable.

The JD's strongest available loader on that older model is simply inadequate. I know the tractor is light but the 3130's 723 loader is a good strong loader.

His has a lot of seal issues. It is always leaking fluids from various places, mostly axle and knuckles. He has also had the rear axle shaft break and require replacement. He has also had computer problems with his HST leaving the machine dead a few times.

I do like the extra work on ergonomics JD seems to put into their machines. Very comfortable, easily reached controls. The open kubotas never used to have good loader joystick locations (the cab ones are great).

His JD loader is hard to install and remove, it gets better when he adjusts brackets but is never as easy as my loader. He looks for asphalt or concrete before unhooking, I'll take mine off in a field or dirt pile or where ever. To be fair some of the newer loaders look better in this regard.

And of course preference over HST pedal, I love my "treadle" he loves his twin pedals. I like his left foot brakes for braked turns but I wouldn't give up my master clutch for starting really heavy pto loads.

I had a BX2230 Kubota that I really liked but last spring I wanted something a little bigger to handle my tiller and rear mount snow blower. I settled on the JD2320 and couldn't be happier. The biggest reason for the JD2320 was the drive over deck that Kubota didn't have at that time. The other very noticeable difference is the seat on the JD is far more comfortable for me than the Kubota.

It's exactly what I did. Went in looking for 2520. Got price, which was much tighter between the two than what you were quoted, went out with 3120 instead which in my opinion is much more tractor for the money. As for the $400 for diverter kit, I say go for it and don't look back. Many users here have added additional custom hydraulics before the factory option was offered and in my opinion, LOOKS like an add-on. Comparatively speaking, that option is cheap because if you need the diverter kit for the 3120, it will cost much more than that but will give you 2 more additional remotes, for a total of 3 rear remotes (counting the 3rd SCV). If going with the larger frame size, keep tire choices in mind because the 3120 weighs 1000 pounds more than the 2520.

I have been looking for a TLB was going to puchase a BX24 but the kubota deal advised it was not upto the tasks I was going to ask of it(about 20hrs week of backhoe/loader work) & advise I look at the B26 which ran & loved. A partner in the deal bleeds green & we went to his deere dealer & drove a 3320 we liked it but it was higher & nobody has one with a hoe on it to try??? Only time will tell I am voting kubota he bleeds green but said would like to have the kubota if I will let him paint it?

Drive them both buy the one you like the best as these are the top two compaines in the business.

Still arguing in the midwest.

If you do that, don't try posting any pictures of it on the Kubota forums....
