Just curious if there are any other Allis Chalmers owners out there and if you still farm with your tractors or are more of a collector type.Me i still run a 7060 and a XT 190 and as well have a 5045 ( i guess you could still call it an AC..

Yes I run a AC 6080 2WD and we love it but we are looking around at 4WD to go with this one.

My dad was an AC salesman from 1959 to 1988. He's been retired for 20 years now but farmed all of his life until 3 years ago due to health reasons. In our current stable we have 2 D-17's, an 8050, and a 180. All are still running and in good working condition but not used daily.

Hi There
I have Model B 1956, and am doing it up to take to shows and use it around the local farms as there modern tractors are to big and heavy for some of the jobs around the area. It wont be running for a while though  as it was a heap of bits in the corner of a barn when i saw it.:) And trying to work, keep the wife in shoes and the dogs fed, doesn't leave much time :p

Sorry but I trhink your tractor either isn't a WD-45 or is is newer. The WD 45 wasn't introduced into the market until 1953. If you have a crooked gear shift it is a true WD-45 if not it is possibly a WC or just a WD.

My dad bought our WD-45 in 1956.

You may be correct oh wise one. I'm no A-C guy, I kind of inherited it. It has a straight gear shift. I'll go take a pic of the ugly beast and educate me as to what on earth I have. BTW, I'll be real embarrassed if it's not even an AC. Just kidding.
