Any suggestions for insurance

I am looking around for a recommended Insurance company for my my home/farm and autos,before I start calling any suggestions or recomendations from anyone would be appreciated. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I have had good luck with State Farm. A little more expensive, I have heard, but my experience with them has been very good.

I've heard a lot of horror stories from people who buy insurance based on price only.

I use Farmer's Hillbilly. They have good policies for farms.

Spend a couple bucks on postage, and send out Requests for Quotations to both company and independant agents.
Get written quotations.
Run like He11 from AETNA, wish I never met ya, and Travelers.
Also check into mutual companys and co ops writing policys in your area.

State Farm would not insure our connected farmhouse (east house/cape/timberframe/small barn/BIG barn). They seem to have a problem with barns... We are using a company called Mount Washington Assurance.

I use Germania here in Central TX. None of the national insurers would go replacement cost out in the country where I live. I have been quite happy, and they are less expensive to boot.
