Any suggestions on replacement seat L4150?

I did a search for 15 minutes and did not find any suggestions or relevant advice -

I need a replacement seat for my "new to me" L4150. I looked at some of the seats at the Big R store locally and they carry several made by seat solutions but I am unable to locate their website to see if these seats will fit. I could always buy it and take it back if it won't work but wanted to see if somebody could save me the time. The only link I located to the same seat did not say it would or would not fit.

That would change after I borrowed your tractor and drank your beer.
Did you by any chance look at the threads on the seat upgrade Kubota did for B series tractors? That seat's pretty nice, not sure it would fit your model but might ask the dealer. I'll tell you if I bought a seat I'd get the biggest air shocks on that baby I could find because the older I get the more those bumps hurt. Sometimes I support my weight on the arm rests with my forearms to keep from sending shockwaves up my spine.

I saw that thread but from the little I could find online I am not sure it would fit. I agree with you about suspension seats being money well spent. The small bumps on my gravel driveway are bad enough in my Jeep!

I tried to explain to my wife that I need a pole building for the tractor. She is not buying it because the building to house the tractor will cost twice what the tractor did. I did point out that I would probably not have to buy a new seat if it was kept in the barn.

A little beer and seat time is cheaper than the Kubota service department.

Is the suspention base still good? If it is there are a lot of seats only well fit.
The new BX seat they are talking about just might bolt up to it, if not you might only have to drill 2 holes. See if you can find one with folding arms.

The tractor has been outside for a few years but it's in pretty good shape. The seat is chewed up and there is a little rust on the mount but it still moves up and down and seems to have some spring in it. I was hoping to just replace the seat but the bolt holes on the one at Big R looked different. I might just take the seat off and haul it down there to see if it would work.

If I have to drill a few new holes that is fine. I picked up a new seatbelt and was planning on installing that at the same time.

I just replaced seat on my L4150. Someone had replaced it before me and the replacement seat was too wide and too high. This caused two different issues.

1. It was hard to reach down to pull parking brake because seat was too high.
2. It was too wide and it it made it difficult to adjust controls on left and right side of seat.

After searching for a long time, found seat at TSC that worked perfect but cost was a little high. Same seat can be purchased from Northern Tool.

This seat was a perfect height and width for L4150.

Note. - I purchased seat from Northern Tool. You will need to make brackets from right angle steel to get it to fit correctly to the original suspension. I can send pictures of my results if you would like. I like this seat a lot.


Follow Up Note - I see TSC has lowered price of seat in my area. I probably would have bought it at TSC for this new price.

Thanks for the reply. I am thinking about getting something with fold-down arms because much of my seat time will be snowplowing, grooming my gravel driveway (over 1200ft), and possibly mowing the pasture down if we don't run cows on it this year.
