Any transfer tanks that will fit under a bed cover?

I would definitely go with a filter if you are using it for your pickup. A lot of the guys around here that use their trucks for hauling fuel to their machines also fill up out of them. Sooner or later crud gets in there and causes problems.

I do that as well but I'm not concerned with my truck at all, it has 3 fuel filters on it so it's protected.

Have you thought about a side tank for a large truck? They make rectangle ones that should fit. I have a spare one here and it has a 3/4" NPT plug on each side to drain the tank. I bet you could remove one of the plugs, install an elbow and mount the pump to it. You would want to make a bracket to keep the pump from twisting and loosening up the pipe.
