Anybody blown or bent their curl cylinder(s), and how?

I have done that with our B7500 to get the mower deck underneath because otherwise the front wheels hit the middle of the deck, but I use pieces of 4x4 or 6x6 under the bucket to get a couple more inches. It works well and I don't see any possibility of bending things unless you get foolish with it.

My buddy blew one. He was back dragging with a set of pallet forks all the way down. View attachment 467423

That is bad stuff. I had never seen that kind of damage but as you've shown (and other posts by ch1ch2 and bobmisi) it can happen. I don't think Raydakub is in any danger of that kind of damage lifting the front & skidding on 2x4s to get over his deck but as Grandad4 says I wonder if it is really worth it. I just don't have that much trouble scooting my deck in sideways.

You are correct in that I'm not in any danger. I'm a lift and roll from the side guy. I just cringe at the thought of scaping the bucket across the concrete, both the noise and abuse.

What I do is gently roll forward (just tap the fwd HST pedal) as I lift the loader. That way nothing scrapes or slides.
