I was out mowing the back 80 acres. I have never mowed it (been leased out). Well, I found a mess of 1/2 rebar. Ended up with some messed up blades on my Hx-15 and 1 broke window on my 5525. The bottom rear window has a couple holes thru it. Better glass broken than a piece of rebar in my head. Oh well, the mower needed new blades anyway...

Glad to hear you are ok /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I've been wondering what it would take to break that glass. Sounds like the replacement window is like $70. I wonder if a thick Lexan replacement might be better? (more projectile resistant?)

Glad to hear you are OK too. Thank goodness for the cab. I was mowing some pretty rough stuff last week and went through about 4 shear bolts. I was using an old 5 ft bushhog and ran over a couple of tires and some other stuff. The brush was thick and about 4 feet high. I won't take another job like that.
