Anybody have 11\' Backhoe on L3710-L4310

Looking at a Bradco 11' hoe for my 3710 and was wondering if it might be to big for my tractor

The one I'am looking at is a "11 HD" - maybe same as 611 model.

Is my pump output (7 GPM) enough to run this hoe /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

You got enough pump but the tractor will be very light in the front.

I would highly question your statement "enough pump". I have a Bradco 511 wwith 7.8 pump. Wouldn't run the hoe. Called Bradco and they say it takes 11 GMP minimum to run it. After some phone calls/e-mails to Mahindra, Mahindra installed an 11 GPM PTO pump w/15 gallon reservoir tucked up underneath hoe mounts. Now, the hoe runs like a commercial hoe. As far as power and size of tractor for Kubota, I can't answer in full. I have seen 511 Bradco's on 5030 cab models and they do OK. I know I check my 41 hp Mahindra all the time and have not found any issues as far as frame problems, loose bolts or other, at any time I've operated the how part. Weight wise, it is perfect for when I plow my 1600 ft driveway. Couldn't ask for a better set up.

Lamarbur- by not running it do you mean it ran to slow or it would'nt dig hard enough. I noticed on bradco specs says "optium performance with 9-12 GPM" thats why I asked the question

Being front lite wasn't what I was concerned with because hoe is 1600lbs +or- Its if all that reach would create to much stress for tractor, ( Planning on using a sub frame)

Wondering if anybody knows differance- Bradco HD11 verses 511 or 611 is the HD11 just an older model?

Re: Anybody have 11\' Backhoe on L3710-L4310

The Bradco 11HD is the earlier version of the 611. It was made in the mid '90s. The hoe, bucket and subframe weigh approx 2100 lb and are a lot of freight for an Lxx10.

Regarding pumps, the HD (or 600 series) has larger cylinders than 500 models, so they take more volume to fill - a larger pump would be the answer. It will work ok with a smaller pump, it will just be slow. You'll still get full digging force because the system pressure is the same.

Does the unit you are looking at come with an original Bradco subframe for the L3710? That would be very important. It might be good to check with Bradco to see what their comments are about this match-up. If they made an 11HD subframe for your tractor you can be sure it would be properly designed to distribute the forces.

I have an 11HD on a Kubota L5450. (see pic) The L5450 is a pretty massive rig, and has a 13 gpm pump. Even on this tractor the 11HD feels like a significant machine back there. My neighbor had a L4310 and he thought the 11HD would be too big for it. Not that it couldn't move it around, just that it would be so back-heavy that the front bucket would have no down force left for back-dragging. My guess is that a 509 would be a better match.
Hope this is useful.

rbargeron- thanks for the quick response, you're comments confirm what I was afraid of- hoe is just to big.

Glad there is so many knowledgeable people on this board, I was getting very serious about buying /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Re: Anybody have 11\' Backhoe on L3710-L4310

no power and moved slower than frozen molasses. I called the engineer at Bradco and he stated, then I read it on their web page, 511/611 hoes operate best at 11 to 16 gpm. I opted for the 11 with 15 gallon tank. .Now, the 511 runs great and can almost keep up to the second if I am matched against a commercial hoe..
