Re: Anybody have 11\' Backhoe on L3710-L4310
The Bradco 11HD is the earlier version of the 611. It was made in the mid '90s. The hoe, bucket and subframe weigh approx 2100 lb and are a lot of freight for an Lxx10.
Regarding pumps, the HD (or 600 series) has larger cylinders than 500 models, so they take more volume to fill - a larger pump would be the answer. It will work ok with a smaller pump, it will just be slow. You'll still get full digging force because the system pressure is the same.
Does the unit you are looking at come with an original Bradco subframe for the
L3710? That would be very important. It might be good to check with
Bradco to see what their comments are about this match-up. If they made an 11HD subframe for your tractor you can be sure it would be properly designed to distribute the forces.
I have an 11HD on a Kubota
L5450. (see pic) The
L5450 is a pretty massive rig, and has a 13 gpm pump. Even on this tractor the 11HD feels like a significant machine back there. My neighbor had a
L4310 and he thought the 11HD would be too big for it. Not that it couldn't move it around, just that it would be so back-heavy that the front bucket would have no down force left for back-dragging. My guess is that a 509 would be a better match.
Hope this is useful.
