I noticed the other day that my hour meter has stopped working. I guess to say it more accurately, it won't roll over. The only reason I was paying particular attention is because it was about 998 hours and change and I was doing a lot of work with it one afternoon and knew I would click over 1000. I watched it go up and up and then it got to 999.9. I watched it try to advance and it started to roll over and then "click" - it slipped back to 999.9. I observed this several times over the course of the next hour and it did the same over and over and over...you get the idea.

Has anybody else encountered this? The tractor is a DK45 (one of the older ones - 7 or 8 years old). I'm gonna call my dealer later today, but thought I'd check if anyone had something similar happen and if there was an easy fix.

Thanks for the help and take care.

You have reached the life expedience of the tractor, time to trade it in!

Man, if only I knew a dealer that could sell me a new tractor. Too bad there aren't any dealers on the board....

Anyway, talked to my local dealer and I got the somewhat bad news that I was expecting - the hour meter is not a separate part from the dash assembly, so if I want it to work, I'll have to replace the whole thing - and I don't want to do that.

I'm planning on looking at an aftermarket hour meter and just run it off of the electrical side of things. Does anybody have any suggestion on where to pick up power?

Thanks for the help.

My ck20hst hour meter quit at about 120 hrs. I went on line and found a nice digital one with LCD read and it has 5 different hour logs, the main log is not ajustable, the others, 2 will count up, and 2 will count down. I paid about $40 in 2006.
Same site has LED trailer and truck lights and also LED 110v replacement bulbs.
Unfortunately I can't find the name of the site.

I just put a post on the Marhindra forum. My hour meter also quit and I purchased an aftermarket one off of Ebay. Trying to figure out how to install it. No directions were included with the hour meter.

I bought my ck 20 with a broken hour meter. It stopped at 168. I bought an aftermarket digital one and put it about 6" below the intstrument panel. We cut a small hole in the plastic and it looks like it came with the tractor. It only cost about $12 or $15 and only has one function but that is all I need. I just found the same one I have on ebay.
