How hard is it to change the belt?
I have yet to talk to a Polaris owner that has had to change one.

There is a crap load of china supplied parts on can ams. All assembled in mexico,
Live my belt drive, no way i would wNt a gear drive atv. The belt drive system was proven ling before Polaris released it, they use the proven snowmobile set up.
Her-Chee is sold in the US usually under the Adly name plate, but they have been making the
BRP Bombardier Rally 200 since 2004 or 05. I don't know what the Can-Am equivalent to the
Rally is. I don't follow kiddie quads; this one is for adults.
Her-Chee Moto is based in Taiwan, not mainland China. Huge difference.
Dont get me started on BRP's move to Mexico either, I'm not impressed. But thats Bain Capital for ya. I had several Skidoos over the years and always was a Bombardier guy, even wanting a Renegade one day, but no more.
I worked for Bombardier's mass transit division when they sold off recreation...I was sad to see it leave our company and didn't see a lot of good coming from the sale. I still hold today that that division, in the right hands *should* be more profitable than both the rail and aeronautical aspects they have their hands in now, but what do I know? I was just the ignorant-hillbilly portion of their work force;-)

The auto trans in the 680 is a modified 3 speed auto from their car line up, the Hondamatic behind the 500 us an HST style trans, hence why they are so grossly overpriced. If they ever put a CVT (no clutch packs like Fendt, MF) i would buy one in a heartbeat! Until that happens, the sled clutch set up works for me!!There are full auto hydro trannys out there and they don't have the obnoxious loud whine. It really puzzles me that Honda and few others like Kubota's sxs are the only ones that can make an auto tranny without a belt.

No need IMO.Really wished we could see these manufactures explore different types of tranny's other than just the CVT belt design.
