This is hard to believe! Maybe Chip has heard something about it. New Holland Chinese tractor It is hard to believe it would be sold in the states not under New Holland.

Yes I saw it too. I'm thinking the US market was not what they had in mind when CNH bought the Shanghai tractor works a few years ago... Maybe someone should post the question on the New Holland board asking if they plan to offer these statside?

Note that in the Shipping Information it states "Will ship to United States". Doesnt' that technically make the eBay seller a broker, rather than a dealer?

Isnt New Holland and Case and several other brands owned by an Italian company. Doesnt the new Case and NH tractors look alike. Arnt the utility tractors made in Korea, India or Pakistan with some assembly here. Arnt the bigger over 100 Hp models made by Beuher in Canada. NH and Case still make some equipment in the USA but they are primarily a familiar brand for foreign made tractors. Are there tractor plants making utility models in Racine, WI, Des moines, Detroit, or New Holland, PA. Do you think this new Shanghi model is trying to follow or use brand name appeal. Has it happened before? sure

So - are you actually asking questions? Or just trying to make a point?

If they're truly questions, you're asking the wrong guy. I personally don't have a clue what goes on at Case/NH, nor do I care. But maybe there are some corporate types lurking here that do (?).

Im making a point image is almost everything. For tractors we probably have another 20 years of respect for the brands made famous by US family corporations.

I saw my first one of these in North Georgia in the mid 90s. The name was something chinese not SNH but looks the same drove it seemed to be fine was priced way too high for an unheard of brand. Locally in North Al and Southern TN there are several used car dealer types (front yardon a paved road) trying to sell them. They are probably good tractors but the price is way out of range and the people selling arnt the type you expect to get parts or service from.

It was Shanghai. I think they may have made a couple models for Rhino, as did Jinma, but most Rhino tractors were Benye.

On a side note...Was just reading in Businessweek that the Cadillac STS sedan is/will soon be made in China.

The Cadillac is for sale in China, and possibly other Asian markets. It will not be exported to the USA.
