ABSOLUTELY. My point is that until it is on a dealer's lot, or a manufacturer's site, it does not exist as a product.

Wow. That's the silliest thing I have ever read. But I checked a listing of your other posts and, so far, maligning the 2210 offering seems to be your only purpose for posting at TBN, as far as I can tell.

When I saw the pictures of the price tag and the serial number plate, I decided it was real. When I downloaded the detail sell-in documents provided to Deere dealers in September, I knew it was real. As I get pricing from dealers, I expect that a 2210 can be delivered if I choose to buy one. You can decide what's real on your own time Seth, but I am seeking real dialogue about pricing here, and with all due respect, I'm not interested in debating your notions from obviously questionable motives. Unless of course you are trying to protect me from the evil grifters at John Deere stealing my $13,000 and closing up shop /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif. In that case, thanks for looking out for me.

Enjoy your BX22, Seth.

Talked with J.D. dealer this afternoon, he said they have two on order an just received confirmation they are in transit. The dealer expects em in 4 to 6 weeks as these are Yanmar tractor, they are built in Japan...

If for some reason we can't get together on price with J.D. my second choice for a sub-compact would be a MF GC 2300.

Bigpete, a few months ago I thought you had decided to keep your 455 and get a larger tractor (larger than a subcompact). What changed your mind? (not a trick question) I can understand though many reasons for staying small /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif such as the fact it will be next Spring before I can my huge /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif 2410 out on my Lawn again without ruts since we suddenly have had all this rain. Does the 2210 JD have other tires available. I really like my ag tires on the BX and not all that fond of the R4 tires on the 2410. I wish there was something more like an R4 but softer and wider with rounded corners for turf but still had decent traction. Anyway, I bet that by Spring the 2210 will be well represented at JD dealers, the question is that really what ya want? Despite what you might think, I have seen your tractor and I see the same problem with it and I expect the same with any subcompact that the BX has, the tractors sit low and are therefore unable to utilize implements that are largely designed for tractors that sit much higher, the post hole thing comes to mind but also aerators and brushogs etc have to be modified to be used in the INTENDED manner. Yes, the 2210 has a wider space on the draw bars which will help mounting but the lift angles are very similar as is ground height to pivot points. Just something to consider on--as more subcompacts hit the market I feel sure that increasing numbers of specifically designed implements will be avaialble. Good luck. J

I noticed yesterday that the 210 loader for the 2210 was on the attachment page on JD's website.
<A target="_blank" HREF=http://products.deere.com/webapp/commerce/command/CategoryDisplay?cgnbr=CUTATT&cgmenbr=8416&path=GC&cgrfnbr=295955&pcat=295955&prnbr=130DLV1005&prrfnbr=267481&SelectCat=295955&SelectProd=267481&PrevCatRef=302497&PrevCatcgnbr=CUT@GC&Navigation=ATTACHMENTS>Deere 210 Loader</A> Maybe they are getting close to putting the 2210 back on the website.

Hey, J. There is still a possibility that I will end up with two tractors but a little real estate transaction fell through this Fall and I'm still sitting/living on 7 acres of pretty well-developed land and I like the idea of keeping a smaller (weight) unit at the primary homestead. I may go ahead with the 2210 if there are good incentives or a better quote before the holidays. I can always buy the big dog in the next couple of years this way.

My search for a second plot of land continues but land acquisition is now the contingency which is different than my situation in August/September. I thought I had a deal and was ready to expand my storage capacity and buy a nice two-axle trailer to accommodate the second unit. Now I'm back to the "Swiss Army Knife" logic. Since I'm just as schizophrenic about this as most any buyer, you may read of me bragging about my new 4115, 2410 or Boomer in a couple of months. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Regards,

Bigpete,

You don't have to resort to name calling.

The fact of the matter is that JD posted and then withdrew information about the 2210 from their site. You will be well served to find out why that happened.

Good luck in your quest.

Well, Seth, I doubt it's a conspiracy but you may pursue that angle if you wish. Most likely it's an I.T. faux pas. Perhaps an intentional teaser leak. It sure caused a lot of pre-release chatter, didn't it? Even with people who already own a machine in that class..../w3tcompact/icons/hmm.gif

BTW, I never call names...sticks and stones, you know.

Hi, Butzkeg. I noticed that also. All of the specs are still there under the "Accessorize" option on the Configurator. I don't see anything about the front blade option that is pictured in the PDF sell-in documents that I have. If you would like a copy of those PDF files, send me a private message with your email and I will forward them to you. The files are of the 2210 CUT and 210 loader. They are both too large to post here and may be copyrighted, which would be a no-no as well, according to site rules and Muhammed.

I was told this morning by one of the dealers that I'm working with that he has two 2210s ordered for customers and one Demo on the way scheduled to arrive the week of November 18. The customer units may not be in until after Thanksgiving.

Is there any way to truncate that link? I'm getting carpal tunnel syndrome and vertigo at the same time scrolling right-to-left. Maybe it's my setup...if so, consider this withdrawn.
