My seat which is ten years old cracked a while back and now that crack is a cavern and has spread everywhere. Has anyone replaced a Kubota seat from TSC? I am not buying from my Kubota dealer as it's a ripoff and based on the quality of the one he put on when I bought my B20 from him, it's not worth much. If you have acquired one from TSC, what model have you purchased?

Tks.

PS. I re-read my post after and can only imagine the jokes coming my way. Go ahead, I asked for it!

Well, you made me re-read your post, since I didn't get it the first time either. Figure I have no basis to comment about anyone else's seat, so you're off the hook, at least from me!

I bought the high-back model with armrests from TSC, mainly because I wanted the armrests.

It's comforable and the armrests are nice when mowing. I've been using it for about a year now and it has mostly been OK. It's a bit more of a pain keeping it clean because dirt tends to cling to the fabric. On the original, you could just wipe it clean. Also, while the high back type seat gives better back support over rough ground, it gets in the way when you need to look back or reach behind you for any reason.

Check Northern Tool too. I got my replacement seat from them. It worked out real well, but then that was on my B7100 which was a older model Bota.

I replaced the orginal seat on a bigger Kubota when it failed. Regretted it and bought the best one in stock anywhere around me other than maybe the Kubota dealership. Found the replacements seats in stock were not as deep from front edge to back giving less support. Only after doing so did the thought of taking the worn out one to a shop that repairs car seats come to my mind. That would have been best option for me.

If you do buy after market seat you need to be sure on the height and the amount of travel up and down and also front to rear. They do vary.

I replaced the seat on my Kubota B7500 after the first year because I wanted an inexpensive suspension seat. The one I bought was from my local TSC and I think I paid around $100 for it. The suspension part worked pretty good on my bumpy property but the seat was not really very comfortable. It was one of those 2 piece jobs with arm rests which really didn't work for me. The actual Kubota seat was made in Kalamazoo in my state of Michigan and I think was comfortable. Luckily it was designed so it could be easily taken apart and I was able to drill holes in the bottom metal piece to match the mounting holes of the suspension system. So I have the original seat on a pneumatic suspension and have enjoyed it for the last 7 years.

I replaced the seat on mine when Kubota offered the upgraded one... in my case, it cost $50 to upgrade.
