Anybody using dual tilt cylinders with their T&T?

Bird since you have TnT, if you doubled the angle by adding a tilt cyl. wouldn't the lower link ball ends,be beond their rotation abillity, bending lower link or bottom pin on implement. also as the cyl's tend to settel, both to the bottom of thier stoke it would be a pain to center them again. I know a guy up here had a kumatsu d31 the angle cylenders were all that kept the blade from falling forward. while it did bypass and the blade did always tilt ahead, the fix was to open a bleeder and angle back and forth till it came back in position,a pain, since Kumatsu has fixed problem with a link in center to stop foward tilt.My point is it be a pain in the @## for the amount youe'd need that much tilt, easyer to back up for another pass.

I think that would be a good possibility.

Bill, I just ran through those two old threads, and you'll notice I had a lot of help from MChalkley, LarryT, kubmech, and others. And it appears that the pictures I posted are still there, but not those of RobertN and LarryT. Incidentally, LarryT had an even better set up in my opinion than I did.

The only pictures of mine that I didn't find (probably there somewhere; maybe in a different thread) are the ones showing the box blade tilted all the way forward (the above attachment) and all the way back (next post).

Bird, in that picture, the tilt cylinder looks longer then most. As was mentioned, one thing that will happen with double tilts is the extreme angle not only often can exceed the lower links and implements ability to handle it, but with an implement like a box blade, if you catch an immovable object like a rock on the lowered corner, their stresses are enough to start tearing things up since the load can be concentrated to to just one lower link. The problem is compounded when for example, in this extreme configuration the lift arms don't even need to drop to engage the implement thus eliminating the "float" that is inherent in most 3 pt set ups. When the travel is eliminated and you encounter a stubborn object, the weight of the tractor also comes into play which can be good and can be bad. Perhaps my greatest reason and as MChalkey told me years ago, having two tilts has some advantages, but getting the setup level can be a pain especially since most all tilts will sag over a relatively short time. I suppose they are more prone to it because of the leverage working against them. Good posts as usual Bird, Rat...

I have seen a NH-TC18 with double cylinders, but it was on a trailer... I did not get to see it in use or talk to the person.

As Bird mentioned, I have my side cylinder set so when centered, it is the same length as the fixed link on the other side. I get decent tilt in either direction.

I would not be as worried about the hydraulic function of double cylinders as I would be about how twisted up you could get with both cylinders at thiser opposed limits. 4" cylinders might do the trick. 2" down on one cylinder, and 2" up on the other would really tilt an implment. Just have to watch those 3pt arms and swivels.

I have the 4" cylinder; I get pretty good tilt with 2" up/down from center across my 50" box blade.
