I want a QA system for my LA463 Loader. Has anyone here bought them from ATI (or any other manufacturer). How well do they work? How much were they?

I am confused by their PDF file on the website.

If I bought a set of QA's, will I still be able to use my existing Kubota bucket, or will I need to purchase a Ski-steer bucket?

If in fact I can use my bucket, can I also use skid-steer attachents?

I really want the QA for a set of forks.

It depends on which QA you buy. They offer two different types. One is a pin on that can use your existing bucket. The other is a bobcat type that will need it's own bucket or an adapter welded on to the bucket.

I bought a pin type for my LA 352 loader (B2410). Fit great. I wanted to be able to switch between a bucket and front forks. Don't have the forks yet, but switching will certainly be easier than the set up before I got the adaptor.

I looked at the ATI QA when I bought my B3030 and decided to go with a "Kubota pin on QA". I switch between forks and bucket in about 1 or 2 minutes. A pin-on QA is much cheaper than a Skid Steer QA. If you're in a big hurry when using your tractor, if you want to get off your tractor only once when changing implement (compared to 2 times with a pin on), if you're ready to spend that kind on money and if you need to use Skid Steer front implements in the future then go with a Skid Steer QA. With a pin-on you keep the bucket you already have. With a SS QA you have two options: 1) you buy a new bucket to fit the QA, 2) you remove the pin brackets behind your actual bucket and weld a SS QA bracket.

About forks: it's a must. I think I use the forks more often than the bucket.

There are a lot of manufactures of QA (universal skid steer) adaptors. I got a Kasco, Unihitch from my Kubota dealer. Around $500.oo… See attached picture.
What ever make you get you will love it and you will be able to swap out buckets forks boom attachments or almost anything made for most skid steers. You will come across a LOT of different attachments that you can accumulate just because you can now use them. You can also weld adaptor plates to your original bucket, or get pin on adaptors for the bucket… I have yet not had a need to use my factory bucket as my 4n1 is so much handier. KennyV.

The ATI QA is great, we use them alot. A Pin-QA is cheaper, but the attachments are much more expensive. An ATI QA and forks is about the same price as the Kubota pin-qa and forks. If you change your tractor a backing plate can be welded to your bucket, we charge $100 for the plate plus the time to weld it on.

Thanks,

I think I am going with the ATI adapter that uses my original bucket. Having to buy another bucket is out of the question for me at this time.

To my knowledge, the QA system was not available on the LA463 (so my dealer told me). This is correct, right?

What I meant was the QA is not available from Kubota.

Thanks for the clarification. I am going to e-mail my dealer now with a request for a quote.
