Just wondering how you might have done it and what you used.

Thanks, Matt.

I built one buy building a form (plywood rectangular box) built a quicktach 3 point out of angle iron. put it in the box and poored the box full of cement. a great reference is jd ballast box. just adjust slightly for your application. cheap and very durable. sorry i dont have any pictures atr the moment and is located remotely.

We have a barrel with a 7/8 inch rod inserted cross ways about 2 ft off the bottom. On each end holes are drilled for tractor lynch pin (7/16) . At the top we inserted a bracket for the top link to hookup to. Then we poured it full of concrete. You can vary the weight by using different barrel sizes. Ken Sweet

Here's some of my weight and forks. It can use the forks on the same frame front or back.

Did you pour the concrete around the mounting bolts on that one? Ken Sweet

I had 950LBS of barbell plates. I slid the plates on a shaft and added collars to keep them from sliding back and forth on the shaft. I turned the end of the shaft to fit the 3 point. I do not use the top link. This is very compact and easy on and off. This is one of the easiest and best things that I've made.

I did the same thing and it works great. I also use two of the plates as weights for my disc harrow... The nicest part is that I can just roll the weight around the barn to keep it out of the way! Keep an eye out on craigslist.org or similar forums for someone unloading an old weight set. I recommend iron and not the cheap cement weighs... 50-pounders are the easiest to handle one at a time (I'm a wimp...)

Not sure what you mean Ken. The only thing poured into the concrete other than the lifting eye (center top) is a piece of 6" channel iron that protrudes out about 3/4". The lip on the frame work will except the forks or the weight. The weight weighs about 900lbs. I don't have any other pictures to show the weight off the frame. My wife has the camera at our grand daughters birthday party or I'd run out and get you a photo or two, maybe later if you still want to see them separated.

In the picture, Seems like I am seeing 2 protruding bolts from the metal running across the concrete block. I just assumed they were part of what held on that plate to the concrete block. Ken Sweet

Look close at the top rail . You can just see the edge of the channel hooked over the 3 point frame. Neat way of doing it. Sort of a custom QA.
