Regarding the canopy. Go with a 44 x 44 Femco Tuff Top. Rural King is the cheapest place you'll find to order them at $200. They are a drop ship (free) I've got one on my Ferris and one on each of my two New Hollands. Search Results for femco tuff top : Rural King

Sarg, thanks for the tip and the link. Those look pretty nice and would add some additional places to mount some accessories! Have you done any mods to your Tuff Tops? Sunglasses holders, rear view mirrors, etc, etc

I've decided to start a new thread to document all the customizations to my new Toro Z Turn mower. I'll keep monitoring this thread to continue collecting all your good ideas as well as post highlights of my mods, but will keep all the details in the other thread. Once I learn how to post a thread link, I'll make sure I do that as well! My first mod will be LED lights and here's a sneak peek at where I'm going to mount them.

The canopy would be nice if it was open. I mow around a lot of low hanging branches and have to keep my rops folded down and duck all the time. The LED lights are tempting. I have some in the shop I might bolt on. I always thought it would be cool to have a bunch of light and mow at night as hot as it is this time of year.

The canopy is nice and the TuffTops come off easily when you don't want to use it.

But you must be aware they don't blend well with heavy tree branches or anchor cables for poles. I turned mine into a bent up pretzel two days ago.

The replacement will be here next week.
