Rat, Yep, I just dumped a pair of work gloves and my pruning shears over the ravine when I finished cutting the perennials back for winter. It is sure more dumping the trimmings than slithering down the ravine to retrieve the lost goods!!

I can see that happening once and possible twice, but anymore and I would not be able to explain. I thought people learned fom mistakes. maybe you should pack tractor with bucket dumped. or only put old tools in bucket and loose them. this would be a good reason to justify a new purchase.
hey maybe i'll have to try that. then tell my wife I need a new one.

NOPE! never done anything like that./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif why just last week i loaded the fel with chainsaw, 1 gal of bar oil. chains and and straps, and off into the woods i went to take down a few dead trees, but i was smart enough to take all of the stuff out of the bucket before i did any work, set all the stuff off to the side, then got so engrossed in my work , backed over the gal. of bar oil/w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif at least it was,'t the chainsaw. and am still wondering what happened to my 20 ft. strap? if u ain't done something less than smart u a ain't using your tractor/w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif

Don't know about you young guys, but us old timers are more careful about our tools, Except the time I put my pancake air compresser and the 2400 watt gas generator in the bucket of our ford 2000 and on the way to the project of the day decided to push some downed trees out of the way,
Took about a week to get the air compresser working again, but the generator kicked right off the first pull.
Since I bought the BX2200 I have only lost a few chains and hand tools and about 10 gallons of diesel (two seperate events) but I am learning slowly and try to take a look in the FEL before moving the little bota.

I carefully dug up about a half bucketful of Daylillies and left them in the bucket overnight. Then I moved a bunch of dirt in the yard forgetting about the lillies. They try to grow every year!

Back when I was farming, you would do a lot of different things in a day. On one particular day I had to fix fence, I brought along the post hole digger, a shovel, packing bar, chain saw, fencing pliers, and some wire. after i finished my repairs, I went back to finish my daily chores. I found all my tools after I scooped up some cow manure and dumped it into the manure spreader. It took a while to dig it all out and get it washed off. I found out I had missed the wire while spreading the load on the field. The beater caught the wire and threw the whole spool out, only to bring it all back and wind it up for me.

Sooooo glad to see it's not just me....I've done the shovel and rake thing tons of times only to find them after I've dumped a bucketful of material,but I think the best one was when I set my cell phone down on the track of my dozer,got distracted by the truck bringing fill and after he dumped the load I eagerly jumped on the dozer and pushed away,I realized that the phone was missing about 4 loads later and probably 3 feet down.To make the situation worse I asked one of the carpenters on the job to call my phone to see if I could hear it ring,well I didn't,but I did hear about burying my phone everytime I went back to the job!
