I don't know why, maybe it's becasue I'm left handed and using a little laptop with the mouse that has the little flat area your run your finger around, but I always seem to be dropping down the JD ad and having to close it again. Anyone else do that?

Oh OH

Here we go again.

Rat - We've already had our whinge earlier in this forum somewhere.

I think some of us found it more annoying than others, but my sentiments were that, as annoying as it was, if it means TBN remains free to us, then a bit of annoyance every now and then is OK.

We have taken this marvellous free site for granted.

Cheers

Muhammad added a "close window" button so it's less of a pain. I agree it sure would be nice, though, to have it close when your mouse rolled off the ad. I think Muhammad is getting pretty tired. If he shows up at Farm Days I will give him enough coffee to permit him to stay awake for days!!!

I don't mind the add, but I hate the fact that when I close it the [previous] [flat] [next] buttons don't work. Why is that?

I am still experiencing the "dead link" syndrome as well - my quick fix is to hit the refresh button and get rid of the add - easier on high speed at work than on rural speed at home (oops, did I say that out loud /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Small price to pay for this great site. Muhammad has to pay the bills somehow. Where none of us has ever payed a dime for this site I don't think we should complain at all.

Amen...

If anything... come up with something "constructive"... to make things better... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I agree whole heartedly - Muhammad and his band of merry moderators and star members have done an incredible job on this site and I have benefitted greatly from being here. I just treat the Deere ad the same way I treat the "Terms and Conditions" of new software - I read every word on the agreement before I "Accept" and move to the next page /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif ya' right. Really, I just get past it as painlessly as possible.

I treat it like that big, honkin' boulder in my lower field...it's harmless provided I don't roll over it!

If it sounded a like complaining, it was not meant too, but actually, its not the ad, its the simple fact that it keeps dropping down covering up this great site that is provided free. While I agree its a small price to pay, it doesn't make it any less annoying. My guess is that if the site was a subscription only and cost, the membership would be pretty small. The larger the membership, the more I suppose one could charge for the ad space. I would not care if it had more ads. I'm sure Muhammad is well aware of that. I certainly appreciate all he has provided and continued to do regarding this site. Again, I only find it "a little annoying", kinda like a fly that won't give up trying to eat you. Rat...
