Anyone else getting sick of all this rain?

Maybe we New Englanders should build a pipeline and trade water for oil with all the parched Texans!

Or else build a pipeline to help us Old Englanders out.

Much of Western Europe is suffering bad drought conditions - the worst since 1976. They are predicting slaughtering livestock in parts of France as there is just no food for them.

We have got about five inches of rain in the last five days...flooding in the low lands, northern NY.We got so much yesterday,it was over the 14 inch culvert under the main road.Wish we could pipe it out west to help those folks.

Pics?? :D
Do they carry them under their arm or strapped to their backs??:D

Well at least we're maintaining a sense of humor. I'm in mid Maine and presently it is pouring. We have a new JD X320 mowing machine that is chomping at the bit to be let out. No way can I take my 3038 out of the barn. It will sink.
Seat time is limited to inside the barn. Gets old. :(

I don't know about you, but with a sweet new machine like that you'd find me in the seat making engine noises, just waiting for just one sun shiny day!:D

I was told today that this is the dryest here that anyone can remember. My Dad is 75 and agrees.

The rain started in again in southwest Missouri. The flooded homes on lake taneycomo have had time to dry out. but now there is the threat of tablerock dam having to let water out over the spillway again, which will flood them out again. Raining right now, supposed to get another 5 inches or so. thru the weekend and then on thru the rest of next week until thursday or friday. I mowed the jungle last night until dark, did the best I could by poor light. The front lawn and side yard is easy with my JD lawn tractor, but have to break out the Kubota and a rotary cutter for the back and part of the side yard,. too steep and rough for the JD to do anything but turn over. the other side is too steep for grass it grows some ground cover, you can hardly walk up or down it, and cannot walk up or down it without falling if it is wet at all. The road is washed out, and full of holes. been trying to repair it between times.. yes this has been a very wet spring after a wet and snowy winter. This weekend is a total washout for any kind of outside work, maybe I will drive to Springfield and go to the gunshow.

I have engaged in this activity. Unfortunately my lips have become chapped from the vibrating and I've run out of Bag Balm. :licking:
It's Saturday and darn if it isn't raining.
You're right, it is a sweet machine. Traded an 18hp one lunger that served me well for 20+ years. This is a twin cylinder and when I start it up the missing vibration leaves me looking around to make sure it's running. Unbelievable smooth.
Tomorrow, the weather guy says the sun will shine. Mowing perhaps? Noooo, I have to be on the road to pick up wifey at the airport in Portland.
It appears I'm gonna B!itch no matter what. However, at this point I would like to blame it on the rain.
