I just replaced my grease gun and was a little harder to get it on on off the fittings. It is starting to loosen up the more i use it. You should not have to loosen head on gun fitting too much getting on or off fittings. With use it should go better, sometimes when taking off, its easier pulling off when i turn to side a little than directly pulling off.
Anyone else have this problem?

Agree with the "angle to one side" approach to removing grease gun... however, that is how I broke my zerk fitting on the FEL... I haven't yet figured out why this simple activity should be so much trouble... in my case it, too, is a new gun... pneumatic... hope it gets better in time!

Yep, that's how I broke the first one. But, that's still what I have to do to get it off sometimes. That and using a screwdriver to pry it off.
This irritates the heck out of me. I may borrow a grease gun to see if its my new gun, me or the zerks. Taking 20 minutes to do a 5 minute lube job makes me feel like an idiot.

HI, My grease gun's end which fits on the grease nipple is made in two halves, the actual end piece unscrews from the main body of the barrel releasing the three grips ( which are internal to the end) which fits over the grease nipple. Once I have greased I slightly untwist the two parts of the end, this releases the end from the nipple and off I go to the next one, I hope this helps

That's the way mine works too but there are a number of places where it is too tight to get anything but the tip in. No room for fingers. I lubed the FEL today and just had to find a 'sweet' spot where it was not too tight and not so loose that the grease squirts out. Still have to futz with it to get it off.
