Kind of a baby Denali, I guess...Missing a few things that add up to a 12K premium over this one. Couldn't justify that..There was a Denali sitting next to it, and I was somewhat torn..Oh well, I bought this instead..no regrets.

Not a fan of the transfer case on a Denali (AWD). I like the ability to choose 4wd. I'd rather have your truck. Don't sweat the grill. It rocks.

That was the primary reason that I didn't want the Denali (AWD)...They are a sweet truck though....It was tough, but the AWD swayed me. I can throw mine in AUTO 4wd for those iffy days.

If I didn't drive it everyday, I probably wouldn't care...The wife's Hummer is AWD and I couldn't care less...That thing only gets around 5K per year put on it..Mine gets about 25-30K depending.

My question would be: What was that person thinking when they ordered it?..I still can't rationalize it.

I'm going to say you got it because he didn't know what he'd done. I think its a mighty good looking truck though.

I agree, hope they don't go awd on the Denali's next time. Sucks to much gas but need the 4x4 come winter.

My only guess is that whoever ordered was going to be towing long distance..HD cooling, adj pedals, power seats, integral trailer brake, motor..etc..Just guessing...Who knows, I bought it when no one was buying anything..Maybe the original person got spooked by the sticker. I certainly did at first...Then the wife told me to just buy it if I wanted it...WooHoo---My first brand new truck. Ain't questioning that advise. :D

Around 16 or so 50/50 highway and local...I have a very heavy foot though.

I followed my neighbor to camp over the summer (he drives like an adult) and I got almost 20 out of it, this was heading into the PA mountains...My patience was wearing thin though. :D

I'm getting about the same mileage. It would be nice to have that extra power if needed. I only pull a 16' trailer with my tractor but that's not often. Any way you look at it they are still nice trucks.

Glad you're happy with yours, I'm thrilled with mine. I test drove a 5.3, they really move now compared to my '04 and I thought that ran good.

Love that truck. Came close to buying one but could not find a 4 dr. Waited a year and found a Denali. I absolutely love the GMC grill. I actually prefer the All-Terrain grill over the Denali.

How long have you had yours. Have you driven it in the trailer mode yet? Mine down shifts early and uses the engine for some extra braking. It scared the heck out of me the first time I used it

The chrome GMC grills do look really sweet - especially on black like yours. I wish they'd do something more for the basic truck grills though.

Had it a year..Bought it a few days before Christmas in 2010. Only warranty was a set of wheels...The clear de-laminated..Other than that, trouble free.

Only towed about 6,000# so far...Love the tow-haul mode. My brother has an '11Silverado and he told me about the engine braking while towing his 22 ft FourWinns, so I had warning. I live in an area where nothing is flat and I loved that feature the first time it kicked in..Believe it's tranny braking actually...Could be wrong.

The integral trailer brake took some getting used to..It's not binary (on-off) like the after market ones...It is very proportional, works great though.
