I went to the McConnell Manufacturing auction last fall in Prattsburg, NY. Lots of neat stuff... sadly, the tractors were not that great.
They had 4 sizes available.
425 - a basic 3-cyl tractor that I don't think I would have bought
425XL - a Jinma (I believe) which was 4-cyl, ran much smoother, and was overall a lot nicer
450 - 50 HP tractor with the same fit and finish as the cheaper 425. Operators station was horrible, I couldn't even get my legs around to get on the seats. Cheap horsepower... but maybe too cheap.
465 - they only had 1 or 2 of these larger tractors there. I'd say that these had the same issues as the 450s except a little worse. If you want to rake hay - here's a good tractor. Otherwise....
They are no longer manufacturing McConnell-Marc tractors and I was told that parts would be available for only a few more years. Mr. McConnell has moved down to the south-eastern US where he has a tractor dealership now (but I am not aware what brands he is selling). I don't believe there is any more manufacturing going on.
