It was a nice bright moonlit sky until about 8:15 then the clouds rolled in they stayed until about 12:30, then a bright moonlit sky again. As you can guess it was a wonderful night for viewing.

You didn't even have to bump your tripod Dave, I just read that the moon "moves" a full moon width across the sky in only two minutes. Exposures more than a second will likely suffer from motion blur!

It was only about a three second exposure with a very small digital camera. When I was a kid, my dad built a telescope. It is a 6" reflector. He'd line up the rings of Saturn in it and say, "Look in there. See it?" And we'd say "Nope!". It moved too fast. He eventually got pretty good at putting it just before the field of view, then holding us up to the eyepiece. It would be there for just a half minute or so, then move on by.:)
