Anyone go from a large company to

/ Anyone go from a large company to #21
I made the move about 4 years ago from a larger company owned by publicly traded holding companies to a family business. Night and Day difference. I love it here.

I went through 6 CEO's in 5 years. I made it through two separate instances of 75% turnover in upper management. I learned to work the system, though. I could have just about anything I wanted at the old company as long as I could convince someone that it would save a dime somewhere. I never really felt good about what I was doing.

The biggest difference with the smaller, privately held business I'm at now is that decisions are made based on the next 30 years rather than the next 30 days.

I don't know if this was more a difference in privately held vs. publicly traded or a difference in corporate mentality vs. family values. Whatever the difference, I love it here.
