Anyone haul a TLB in a dumptrailer?

I think Dougster bought a shorter dump trailer, but I could be wrong.

I'll throw in my 2 cents here. I have a 3320 with fel and backhoe. I also have a 12x7 pj dump trailer. I can fit the tractor and loader on the trailer with the fel sticking over the side. I would not haul it like this however. If I remove the loader the tractor fits perfectly in the bed. The only issue is you really have little room to position the weight correctly on the trailer. Here's the other downfall I see. Dump trailers weigh alot. Mine empty weighs almost 4k. So you quickly approch GVW limits. A 16' dumper would weigh in at almost 6k. And my 3320 with fel and bh is around 20' long. Although the dump trailer is super handy and I bought it hoping to haul materials and machine. It really isn't good for the latter. It would be very good for a skid steer or small mini excavator. I'd seriously look for a good flatdeck trailer and a dumper too. Oh, I'm extremly happy with the PJ brand. I plan on buying a PJ 20' flat deck. I just can decide if I want GN or bumper pull.

I kinda goofed when I titled the thread, I shouldn't have said "TLB".

What I really want to haul is a tractor with only a landscape rake or a harley rake or a bush hog. NO FEL. I would think with just a rear attachment like a landscape rake, i should be fine with a 16' dump trailer.

Well, in that case you should have no issues fitting a 30-40 hp cut and rake in a Dump trailer. I think you'd even get away with a 14' trailer rather than 16'
I know there are a few folks out there who haul a tractor loader backhoe TLB. But you should have no issues with just a rake. Happy trailer hunting

Builder, Absolutly no regrets it is a well made trailer. It's an 04 and I had a conversation with my local PJ dealer this afternoon. Now keep in mind he didn't have the PJ trailer I was after and sells several other brand trailers. He told me the quality of the PJ's has gone down. The powder coated frame specifically. They also went with a cheaper tire. As I'm sure Lonecowboy can attest. I however still want another PJ. Let's face it the paint on any of these trailers sucks,especially here in New England with the road salt. But the overall build quality is hard to beat. Alot of the feature that are options on others are standard on the PJ. And PJ also has no issues derrating a trailer if the customer desires. The local PJ dealer also has H&H but only stocks the tilt beds. I really feel that his comments on the PJ were profit driven. Even he admitted that he had to order a whole trailer load of PJ's and the other brands he carries only made him buy however many he wanted. And he also informed me that there's less on a profit on the PJ's since they cost alittle more. For my money I like the PJ's I've looked at the BRI-MARS also and they're well made. Sorry for the ramble but a trailers one of those things that you really don't want to buy twice if you don't have to.

Thanks. I may start looking for a used dump trailer since the 4x4 utility tractor is gonna cost me more than I thought. I like PJ's. they do come with lots of features.

I also might get a 12 ton tag for my big dump and just skip the whole dum trailer process. At least I can tow either unit on a 12 ton trailer.
