Anyone have a clue on a Ford 7710?

I agree. that tractor 'looks' pretty good to me.

I like the ford 7XXX line. i have a 7610s and wouldn't trade it for anything on the market shy of a ts 110.

I paid 18K for mine with a few dings and 700 hours.

I've runt he fronts bald, and even booted them cause the casing have so many holes in them... I plan on running the tires till they blow ff the rim, or completely vaporize.

Any ideas on where to find the 3 point hitch lift bars and the the adjusting rods that raise them? I have located them in the midwest via pictures but have no idea of price or shipping costs. Probably getting ahead of myself, because somebody will probably buy it out from under me before I get my ducks in a row.

David, don't worry about the JD decor. My family keeps buying me John Deere things for my kitchen because John Deere markets a lot of junk. I don't need it but it doesn't hurt any of my blue tractors feelings. I know in the barn I have not heard my 7710 complaining about the fact I parked one of the John Deere M's right next to him (of course, the M is so much smaller the 7710 might not have noticed it yet :)

So basically, don't worry about the decorations in your office as tractors don't have to match and neither do decorations. Just add some blue items in the mix to liven things up some.

What did you offer for the 7710?

"What did you offer for the 7710?"

I haven't yet, as I haven't gotten everything lined up as of yet. Hopefully tomorrow, but if things don't come out like I am plannning (or hoping?), I will probably let the forumn know how to get in contact with the seller and maybe let somebody else catch a good deal.
Since it is a "make offer" type of situation, you can understand why I would be hesitant to post that amount on the 'net for all to see. Should my max amount be rejected, I will post it at that time, or if I purchase it, I will let everyone know what I had to pay for it, at that time.

Thats ok, I was just curious. Best of luck to you though and hopefully you will get it as they are great tractors.

I was really hoping today that some of the dealers might chime in and give me a hint as to what this thing is worth. I am really looking for the trade in value of it, opposed to what we end users have to pay for them. I know that is asking for "secrets", but that is what they took for my JD, and hopefully what I am going to offer for the Ford.

Do you happen to know what year it is? Trade value is hard to say as most dealers would want to at least look at the tractor and hear it run. How many hours does it have on it? If it is an 86 or older model you would be looking at roughly $8k or less trade value according to my book. The 87-91 model runs from $8k to $11k for an open station FWA 7710. The mower on the back is going to add in also but I have no idea what that is worth. Avg auction price on the 7710 is just under $11k but that covers all models and configurations of the 7710.

Meter says it has about 3k on it, but I haven't started it to know for sure if the meter works. I do know that the ditchmower has been dedicated to that tractor for a long time and they don't use it much. The hours are probably right, or close. I am a close friend of one of the guys that has driven it and he is the one that put it and me together. He says that it always starts and the only problem is it jumps out of gear in one gear(doesn't remember which) and that the last time they used it they had to jump it off, cause the battery was dead. Apparently somebody has used it lately because it has been moved twice and the outside tires are new. He doesn't expect anything else is wrong with it except the leaking front seals, which doesn't seem to be really bad, unless there is absolutely no oil in it.
Your quotes are running about what my offer is, but it is yet to be determined if they are going to accept it.
Serial number on tractordata.com doesn't bring up the year, not sure what is wrong with that picture.

I called the local Ford place, and the serial number doesn't come up on their computer either. I think someone pulled the wrong number, like an engine serial number or something like that. I should have looked at it myself, but we were in a bit of a hurry and I was more concerned with other things than the year, till I figured out they were going to change the way their doing things (AGAIN!!)
Still hoping...

They have changed the deal 3 times now, and still a couple weeks away from knowing if I am going to be buying it. Dealing with large companies can be such a pain at times.
I have gotten some good seat time in on the JD, trying to get some boxblade work caught up in case I do manage to buy the Ford and the wife makes me sell the JD. No telling how long it will take to find the lift arms and adjusters for the Ford, at least in a price range i can afford.
