Anyone have a Kia?

My S-I-L bought a Kia SUV about 6 months ago. She got the $3000 trade in on an little, old, beat up Chevy PU and the 10year/100,000 mile waranty. It came loaded with just about everything that any normal person would need (except navigation system) The initial quality was very good and after bumping around farm roads and pastures, it is still tight, no squeeks or rattles. It seems like a very good vehicle and as she says, "In 10 years time when the warranty runs out, her Kia will be worth about the same as a 10 year old Cadillac Escalade". Makes sense to me.

I've heard, beware of that 10 yr. 100,00 mile warranty. Read the fine print about who has performed routine maint. ,etc, other than the dealer on the vehicle. You could /may void that warranty.

I believe Texas has a law that will not allow your warranty to be voided because you had routine maintenance done elsewhere. I'm sure you still need to show proof of maintenance, put it doesn't need to be performed at the dealership.
