The base is pretty large so you would need a suitable place to put it on your tractor. Now, if you set up whatever fluid you were wanting to use in the tipper on a workbench, then dump it into a smaller secondary container it would work for your uses.
Yes, that is the only way it would work. I it have on my workbench and pour what I want into a used 5 qt Mobil 1 container with the visible volume stripe on the side. This way I have not spilled a drop in a few years and I use a lot of oil. Bonus point is that I have a bunch of five gallon buckets for various uses now plus buying in buckets save some $$.
