Anyone have a solution to eradicating moles ??

I’ve used milky spore on a customers 1 acre back yard in the country. Naturally kills all grubs, worms…. No food, they go to the neighbors. You could see a line around the yard where I stopped application. After about 8 years of no moles, they sold the house so I don’t know how long it lasts. Its not really expensive and is easy to apply.

I've tried 7 different traps and the EZset was the best and easiest to set. I catch about 4 every year to clear my 1 acre property. They dig 150 feet a day. So it looks like an army of moles but a few will destroy grass and vegetable roots in no time. Spring is the best time to catch them.

Take a look at these. I live in East Texas and been using them for about 10 years with very good success. They are very easy to use and they work.

Not enough dirt in South TX to attract moles. But when we lived in St. Charles Mo, I killed several moles. An old man told me the moles head for their tunnels when it rains to scoop up the earthworms. He told me to tamp down their tunnels, turn on a lawn sprinkler to water one or two of the runs. Get two flat blade pitch forks and place one perpendicular across a tamped down tunnel to block the mole. Sit in your lawn chair with a cold beer and watch for the tunnels to start popping up. When they hit the block, skewer them with the other pitchfork placed parallel on top of the tunnel. Worked every time for me. Supposedly the moles sense the vibrations caused by the sprinkler and head for the worms. Good luck. Throw a party and invite your neighbors over for a mole rodeo. The Victor traps never worked well for me.

I used to have a cat that would watch the ground for movement as the mole made their way in the yard.
Then it would jam its paw into the ground and pull out the mole for a tasty treat.

I read quite a few comments about cats catching moles. The only thing I can think of is that the soil must be a lot softer than mine, and no lawn. I can hardly push a hand trowel down into the sod across a mole tunnel, let alone my fingers. No way a cat could do that here.

Cut off the food-win the war. We found that treating the area with the proper grub killer is the beginning as well as a trapping campaign works. Once you have the food source under control the moles look elsewhere for their next meal. Then we were able to treat only the perimeter of our property and not have to treat the rest. I found treating a 10-15' strip was sufficient to deter the little ba@!$#ds
