Anyone have any experience repairing Shelter Logic Portable Garages?

I've had one, 14x28 I think, for 3 years with a few heavy snows and no problems. It is the heavy duty one they make with square tubes.

I would look into a metal carport for $695.00 put up and then cover the sides with metal.

I've seen quite a few of those collapse in a good snow.

If you are going the duct tape route I believe you will also need bailing wire.

Tarp tape isn't duct tape. It's a very different animal. Since I discovered it, I use it for a lot of things.

I have the 13x24 shelter L as seen here https://www.shednation.com/images/shelterlogic/shelterlogic-round-shelter-74332-1.jpg , after 5 years the tarp needed replacing. So I bought another "identical " one. Put the new tarp over the old one and used the framing to "reinforce" the old. Instead of having them spaced 4 feet apart, they are now 2 feet apart. This winter we had heavy snow falls and I didn't clear the snow off at all. It stood the test. So my advice is if you are going this route, buy 2 and double frame, keeping the second tarp as a spare.

I bought a SL 10x20 years ago, it was nice until a STRONG wind flipped it over. I was in the process of moving stuff to Mississippi and actually watched it flip from about 70 yards away. Im moved the remains to Mississippi.
Last year my son bought another, primarily to store my B7610 that I've loaned him.
Last little snow and ice storm apparently it collapsed. I'm expecting frame damage and some tarp tears. But we need to fix it because it shelters my B7610.

I'm thinking of repairing frame with pvc pipe duct taped to the original frame members.
Tarp repair with heat gun and tarp repair tape.

Any better suggestions?

I would recommend using metal to wrap around pipe and bolt/rivet it in place. Canopy is hard to repair, nothing sticks to it. I used gorilla extra strong tape, but you need to find a way for that to stay on the tarp.

Our 12 x 20 garage once blew away because I set the outer posts in concrete (!). The wind got under it and lifted the whole thing up. Luckey my neighbor has a mesquite tree to catch it LOL. Now I have all 12 posts anchored using post cement mix and dog-tie out anchors. I used the strongest zip-ties (175lb) 3x and a rope per anchor. I also added an anchor at the back with a rope to the top frame, to prevent the wind to lift it up. Now my 2 garages stay on the ground on 65+ mph winds. The canopy however got sun-burned I guess and started to tear easily after 1 year only. So I got corrugated steel roofing panels from Home Depot 2 x 10 ft. and directly bolted them onto the frame going through the pipe with lock washer and nut. 1/4". This really worked well on my first garage and braces the frame, so it don't move in the wind. With the second garage I used rivets. You can drill only through the first part of the steel pipe and then rivet the plates onto the frame. Works great and saves a lot of time. The extra weight and bracing holds it together. Using 8ft on each side you have enough overhang to let snow roll off.
