Anyone have problems getting their tractor serviced from dealers they didn’t buy from

Re: Anyone have problems getting their tractor serviced from dealers they didn稚 buy

My local Kioti dealer has literally ONE technician. Service manager told me so. That's probably because they don't get enough work to warrant one. Based on his 5 minute analysis of my issue (needs a new HST), I quickly came to the conclusion he didn't know what he was talking about. I wouldn't take my tractor back there for an oil change. Like Todd92, I'm quickly becoming soured on this brand, as they just don't seem to have it together. Manuals stink, local dealer service is extremely poor, customer service at Kioti corporate is anything but helpful and professional, and it takes forever to get warranty service approvals from the regional support tech. They definitely need to re-work their corporate business model.

Kioti parts difficult to access, dealer indifference?
Low Kioti pricing may equate to questionable customer support by some dealers.
Kubota and John Deere both offer the option of much larger dealer networks.

This is a Kioti Corporate problem, who should implement a certification process on their dealers, to insure these two departments stay independent. And that each dealers parts/service department are trained and fully capable to handle most maintenance issues. Training, training and more training is required for their service staff. Kioti Tractor owners should not be spending 10-12 hours a month reading and researching the diesel DPF/DOC emissions system, so they can diagnose and repair their own tractors, when a regen fails and the tractor goes into Limp mode.

rademamj1 I totally agree with you. They need to vett before they let people become dealers. A few are ok and have their act together but some just suck. When I was essentially told “If you did not buy from me do not bring it to me” I was shocked. That dealer is small time. They always have a couple, and I mean a couple, units on the lot but they are compact and sub compact. They seem to me to be a small engine (chain saw, weed eater) and lawnmower dealer that decided to dabble in the small tractor market. They have two very very small locations and if the guy you need to talk to is at they other one forget it. Heck the owner told me the CK series were turbo charged with inter coolers. He is one of the salesman and I think he even works on them. All in all I am glad they had the bad attitude because the dealer I’m buying from has been great. Yea he is further away but hey I have a flatbed to haul it on if need be.

The Kioti dealer out by me sucks, tiny hole in the wall dealer with a piss poor attitude. That was a major factor in my not going that direction. They were middle of the pack price wise, and I wouldn稚 have been able to see/sit on one for months.

I was looking at tractors in June. Kioti dealer literally says 土ouæ±*e not going to see one till August, and I wouldn稚 hold my breath on that?....

Imagine the comfort that gave me about their customer service.
And your point is?My comment was NOT ALL kioti dealers suck.It can be said all brands of tractors can have chitty dealer.

Coobie---I don't think he was saying all Kioti dealers suck. Just the one by him. The dealer I go to has an excellent reputation for customer service. Unfortunately, they're a few hours away. The one closer to me is.....poor. Poor attitude, poor service offerings, more expensive, etc. I've said it before, but if I had the option of doing it again, I'd likely spend a bit more and get a different color tractor to get a closer servicing dealer.

I have John Deere/kubota products plus my kioti.I can tell you dealers these days are NOT the dealers they were 20 years ago.Good luck finding a decent mechanic to work on machinery or for matter of fact your car or truck.I have had issues with both of my kubota and Deere products that were resolved over a period of time.My point I don"t care what you buy they can ALL have ISSUES.

No one has mentioned if their dealer is a 5 paw dealer or not. You do know Kioti rates their dealerships? I haven't had any trouble with mine although they are about 40 miles away. I heard they are opening another dealership in Branson, so that would be very convenient.

Hey man, not taking a shot at you or your machine. Just sharing my observation with the dealer being a major factor in my decision. I’m a wrench turner, not afraid to fix my own gear. But if I’m going to drop this kind of cake then I want solid support.

The closest dealer to me is JD (2.5 miles away). Large family dealership. Never even got a call back after the initial call to the dealership for pricing. If I can’t get/keep their attention when I’m ready to drop $25k+ imagine the hard time I’d have getting them to fix the **** thing for free....they eliminated themselves in a very similar way to the Kioti dealership.

Same for me. I went with Kioti because JD sales staff never returned calls or expressed any attempt to introduce themselves while I was in their showroom. Likewise, my nearest Kubota Dealership failed to return any calls, and they have since crashed and burned due to poor sales and services. That franchise has now been taken over by a long standing dealer with high levels of customer support. In just 4 months they doubled sales and service. But I had already bought Kioti.

So I purchased my Kioti and I do like this little tractor a lot. But I purchased from a Kioti dealer, whose service department was non-existent. Their parts inventory is just filters only. Their tractor mechanic was hired, because he used to own a tractor once, and is a good welder. Well gee whizz that's not good.
