Anyone have the electronic chute on a landpride snowblower?

I used a linear actuator for the blower defector.
It is a 4" travel with a lift/pull of 135 pounds.
Here is a short video if it:

Here is a video is what someone else did, with a winch and actuator.

Mounted the actuator today and have to do some wiring. What did you fellas use for a switch and where would I find one? Could be my job for tomorrow. Thanks.

Napa or other auto type store , ask for a double throw double pole switch can be either toggle or rocker switch (should have 6 connectors on it) I did my wiring , now I just need to mount my actuator. So 12 volt power wires go to the two centre connectors and you splice together each of the two opposite corner connectors and send those spliced two wires to your actuator (there is a video on you tube I can't find back) toggle one way and it will expand and toggle other way it will contract, and middle switch position will be "off" position.

Just what I needed to know. Thanks. We mounted the actuator yesterday and now need to do some wiring. Think I am going to try to find some type of switch panel that I can put a magnet on the back of it so I can stick it on my rops.

I bought the switch at Nappa for about $16. Pricy but a very well made switch. Water tight conduit from HD, some 12ga. SJ cable I had, and a 12v plug. The box was zip tied to the Rops for the winter exactly where my right hand goes when turning to the right to look rearward. In spring I unplug the power, cut the zip ties and it goes with the blower during storage.

Finished up the snowblower. Cut the spout adjuster arm in the middle and bolted the actuator in the top and bottom half. If the actuator were to go bad I can weld the arm back together and use it like stock. Mounted a Reman Ford front window motor on the rotating shaft. In between the shaft and the motor I used a 3/4 inch radiator hose with a 1" hose over top of that for reinforcement. Looks factory. Mounted my two switches on a piece of plexiglass with a magnet on it. I just stick it to my rops. Wiring is done through a four prong trailer plug. Attach the switches, plug in the plug and ready to go. Snowing here a little bit right now so may not be long for it's initial run.
