If someone here has an L4701 with the BH92 Backhoe, could you tell me how high the top of the BH92 is for travel/parking? I'm trying to figure out how high of a garage door I would need. Would also like to get the same info for a B2650 with the BH77 Backhoe. If you could also let me know what type/size tires you are running.....

The beauty of the back hon is, you can extend it (making it lower)....go through the door (into your garage)...and then retract it. The ceiling height is about the only consideration then.
I have to swing my BH77 to get my B2650 to fit in my garage, but that's ok.

I can measure my height (B2650 with the BH77 and the R4 tires) but it wont be until Saturday at the earliest.

Thanks!!! I didn't realize you could move the tractor around with the backhoe partially extended and the outriggers up (can you tell I've never owned a tractor yet?) :)

You need to determine height of folded ROPS to determine if your equipment will enter a garage.

Folded ROPS height with R4 tires on an L4701 is 74". R1/ag tires would increase the height 4" ~~ ??

If you are designing a garage plan a door sufficiently high so tractor can enter with ROPS up. Kubota uses screws to secure ROPS and it is tedious to unscrew a pair of threaded bolts to fold ROPS then to screw the pair in when ROPS is erected.

Not designing a new garage, already have a 24'x38' workshop. I'm just wondering if I need to convert the garage door from a 7' to a the max I could go of 8.5' :)

Chances are you will convert it no matter what. Only question is it planned or sudden & traumatic. ;-p Nearly done that with things on my forks comming out of my barn & it's over 8'.

You can lower the ROPS (5 minutes of fumbling with bolt that are finger tight) & extend the hoe to get in & out. But it gets old. My friend has to play those games with the hoe to get his ancient industrial hoe in it out of his shop. Very doable, but hes nearly forgotten or missed a few times.

The ROPS on my 2018 B2650 is very easy to fold, just a couple pins with safety clips and it folds backward to a 90 degree angle.
It's parked in my garage right now.....my door height is 7'.....no problem getting it in.
When I get home tomorrow, I'll snap a pic and post it.

Oh...just saw, you're over on Vashon!
Jump on the Fauntleroy ferry and head over sometime.....I'm down in Allyn

If you have a Kubota dealer nearby, cruise by and see if they have an L series tractor with the BH92 and a B series with the BH77. You can't get an appreciation for the comparative sizes by reading a spec sheet; you need to physically see them up close. A BH92 equipped tractor is much larger than one with a BH77 and you'll realize driving such a beast into a garage with 7' doors is not practical, and even 8' doors won't be enough.

We owned an L model with a 9' backhoe. It would enter a 10' door with adequate clearance. Anything under that required lowering the boom and the minimum was 8' just to clear the canopy and ROPS.
