Kubota 5040 with FEL
Hey everyone,

My kubota 5040 is at the dealership now getting it's initial service, diverter valve for the front grapple bucket, and a second set of hydrualics put on the rear. I already have a ccm hydraulic top link that I really do love. I am thinking I may want to get a hydraulic tilt cylinder for the 3pt hitch. Is there any ready made kits on the market for it or is pretty much a custom built job one at a time? I am going to be digging out a pond this spring and could probably use the tilt feature.

The trick here is to get one that has the right geometry for your 3pt. In other words the cylinder stroke and retracted length should match the geometry of your existing side link, along with the end connectors. You will probably have to fab up you own or see if CCM has any tilt link cylinders that are close to what your tractor requires.

TISCO (owned by Woods Equipment) may make a side link that will work. You can check their online catalog and see if there is anything that appears to have the correct dimensions and correct upper and lower hole diameters for the pins:

TISCO Online Catalog

Once the catalog loads select "Hydraulics", then select "Other Hydraulic Parts". The sidelinks start on the second page of items and are numbered HSL2201 thru HSL3202M. If you click on specific part number it will pull up detailed info on that specific item.

I was able to pick up a brand new one off ebay for my B2910 for $49 - so once you determine what you need it might pay to look there.

My Kubota Dealer added my TNT. I thought it was Kubota stuff. Oh well, at least it was painted the right shade of grey. I don't know how folks without TNT use their box blade or brush hog or... without TNT. SUCH AN IMPROVEMENT!!!

Hi leeinmemphis,
I'm sure your Kubota dealer can help you or you can find a kit of some sort to add yourself. I just wanted to let you know how nice it is to have the side tilt capability, confirming what you want when you go to dig your pond. I have used mine extensively since I installed them. It is so easy to grade or bulldoze backwards with the boxblade and positioning the post hole digger on uneven ground. I'm sure there are many more uses I have not explored yet too.

Here is a link to where I added mine, showing some of the installation if you decide to do it yourself.
