Anyone in the Gun Sights of the big Storm?

Cars and truck are missing... must be under the piles of snow? Moved about 8" yesterday to clear the driveway. Hopefully my neighbor will show up this afternoon with a large JD cab tractor with a 8' bucket and make a pass down the driveway. Too much snow for my tractors to handle now.

It's in the twenty imch range for us, now.

It is not a fun snow, it is super heavy and wet. If this goes until 8pm it is a record breaker.

I cannot even find my driveway.

..and the power keeps popping, washpost is saying 196k without power.

Even the postal service has suspended operations - when has that ever happened?

Just keep in mind the weight if you have flatter pitched roofs. Be safe & stay warm.

Remember that song....I do........Ya'll Come See Us, Hear ?

"O, I wish I was in Dixie!
Hooray! Hooray!
In Dixie Land I'll take my stand
To live and die in Dixie
Away, away,
Away down south in Dixie! " LOL

If that's a picnic table next to the Weber, Thanks for the picture.:)

Yeah, picnic table is kinda the unofficial measuring standard in snow climates :)

Nice wide flat surface off the ground makes it easy to see and judge an accurate depth.

I've not seen that depth in a long time, it's got to be quite a shock to folks who aren't use to much snow.
This thread will probably be quiet for awhile this mid day as everyone is out busting their hump cleaning up.

Lets see some more pics when you guys get a chance.

Weeeeeeell we have here our 16 inches plus. But I had a nice skin dip and roll in the snow, it was just perfect for that purpose:D:D

Prokop,
I hope none of your neighbors witnessed that

The vision of it is now burned into my minds eye and will require some heavy drinking to erase it! :D

If that's a picnic table next to the Weber, that is hilarious.:D You must not have had a lot of wind for the snow to accumulate perfectly like that. Thanks for the picture.:)

Probably 30" or so by now, still coming down pretty good.

The wind has shifted directions some, I hope it blows some off the barn roof. And watch your step going out the door. :D

We are hoping you had the snow bath after a session in the steam bath and some serious switching with willow branches!:D

Still snowing here in Eastern Panhandle of WV at 12:00 Saturday.

At least 28" on the ground when I "waded" through it out to the barn to get the Kubota to try to clear my 350 foot driveway.

After spending 30 minutes just on the 10' space in front of the barn, I gave up and spent another 2 hours just clearing a path from the barn back to the house...

One of our cars is in the shop so that left a space in the attached garage to park the Kubota.

I'm just going to hunker down until tomorrow when the snow stops and spend all day clearing the drive a little bit at a time.

When I came in I used the line from Jaws on my wife: "We're going to need a bigger kuboata!" ;)

when I drove up the drive with the L3130, I was pushing snow with the front of the tractor with the bucket in the air. I was having a hard time without chains.
